During my lectures on Digital Marketing, many people asked me, Is Digital Marketing certificate worth? From where I can get certificates? Are they free or paid? Is required to give exam for renewing the certificates? and so many questions. So I decided let’s write an article and share the related information for those who are interested or planning to get these certificates.

The fastest growing industry is “Digital Marketing” nowadays. According to the recent article published by Economics Times, top 3 types of jobs out of six are related to the digital marketing. And the best thing you don’t require any higher degree from any renowned university. You just need one-two certificates, provided by the various companies.

So let’s talk about the certification fee, which may very important to you.

Some certificates are absolutely free while for some you need to pay the amount. I will start from free certificates.

Free Certificates:

In many companies ask about the certificate during the interview, it may be basic criteria to appear in the interview. The good news is that these kinds of certificates are free of cost and provided by the renowned companies like Google, Facebook and many more.

Google Certificates for Digital Marketing:

Google provides free certificates in Google Adwords and Google Analytics.

Google Adwords Certification: To get this certificate, you should have good knowledge about Display Advertising, Search Advertising, Video Advertising, Shopping Advertising, and Mobile Advertising.

Become a Google Adwords certified you need to pass Google Fundamental Exam and then one out of five, that I already described in the previous paragraph.

You also can prepare from study material which is provided by Google also. To access you need to have a Gmail/Google account.

In all certificates, 80% is a passing score and the certificate will be valid for 1 year only. Why 12 months? Because Google updates their algorithms regularly so you should also be updated!

Google Analytics Certification: For GA certificate you should have very good knowledge about Planning, Implementation, Data Collection, GA Configuration, Administration, Conversion, and Reports.

You can learn about Google Analytics from Google Analytic Academy or module provided on the same page from where you will start GA exam.
